On December 1, 2000, another page is turning on my career in this real estate business and I personally want to thank each and every one of you who have helped make these last few years enjoyable and a success. It has been a privilege and an honor to serve the chapter over the years in various capacities and including recently from Membership, to Vice President, to Chairman of the 1999 CCIM International Commercial Real Estate Conference and as President of the Central Canada CCIM Chapter. As an executive we set out to accomplish a minimum set of chapter requirements as set out in the chapter bylaws adopted this year and set out by our CCIM Institute. Indeed . . . they have been achieved. Nothing could be accomplished however without the fine efforts of great people. It seems most everyone in the business today, are the busiest we have ever been in the last ten years. Yet the members of the executive, have made important contributions through their time and effort, both big and small, that has directly contributed to the successful operation of the Central Canada CCIM Chapter. The efforts of these members should be appreciated by
everyone: Why should everyone who deals in commercial real estate join the chapter? One reason is the seven meetings we have per year with excellent speakers, networking, technology and education. Here is an example of some of the past meetings and excellent speakers that we have had. You can expect this to continue in the future. [please note, not all links work as the passage of time links change]
And of course every meeting begins with a self introduction. There are tables for networking your haves and wants at every meeting. In this business developing personal relationships is one key to doing business and you will do that in the chapter. Here are some technology events that have been run to serve you that I have been personally enjoyed working on and producing.
You can see more in this link: A full year of work went into the 1999 CCIM International Commercial Real Estate Conference from survey, concept and design, to promotion and marketing, to running the conference. Again it was people both in Chicago and in the chapter that help it achieve the amongst the highest attendance of all. Details of past and future CCIM International Commercial Real Estate Conference We also arranged a gala boat cruise as we in Toronto and
Ontario and Canada played host to CCIM's and others from around the
world. It was on a yacht called the Yankee Lady with over 300 Sold
Out during Benson and Hedges Symphony of Fire.
Visit the web site for more information at www.ccimcanada.com and our international site at www.ccim.com and upcoming courses. The average earning of a CCIM is over $100,000 per year. We invite you to join now and become a part of the main stream in commercial real estate in this province. I would also invite all who are interested to serve your chapter. It is a tremendous opportunity to meet people and develop relationships that will last a lifetime. CCIM's are among the highest quality people on earth. You only have to get to know them. Call one today and do some business. Sincerely |
