500 ACRE PROPOSED FUTURE AGGREGATE QUARRY
This is one of the Ottawa largest proposed future aggregate sites at 500 acres, located 30 km West of the City

Initial geology reports and mapping reflect an abundant supply of aggregate resources. The stones range from: Oxford, Bobcaygeon, Gull River. Initial conservative estimates are 44 - 88 Million tons.
Environmental Assessment 1 and Environmental Assessment II studies are based on specifications given by the City of Ottawa and the Ministry of Natural resources. Findings of these studies were presented to the Ministry of Natural Resources and the City of Ottawa and were very well received. Heritage report summary and a three drill hole study to ascertain the quality and quantity of the aggregate material has also been completed.

It is believed that once this 500 acre site is licensed it will represent an aggregate RETAIL VALUE from $500 Million to $1 Billion approximately.

Associated points:

The sellers have the support of the City of Ottawa, the MNR and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Forestry that this site will be included in the database for proposed licensing based on their findings. At this point in time, some of the remaining steps required is a zoning change, and an approval of a Quarry concept plan to obtain a licence to Quarry Aggregate

The current owners have spent 5 years producing studies in their bid for a City of Ottawa Gravel Pit Permit.

This is a 500 acre site located near Pakenham Ontario in the boundary of Ottawa approximately 30 km from Ottawa

Here are some of studies ​produced for ​the City of Ottawa Aggregate Gravel Pit application.

1 The ​Department of ​​Energy ​Mines and ​Resources Canada Report states that:

Between 44 to 88 million tonnes of Gravel are located on this site
The value of this gravel is approx. one half to one billion dollars.

2. The Report from ​the ​3 wells drilled states that:

All the wells are dry, to at least 140 feet deep.
This means that the future quarry ​should ​not​ have water pumping issues

3. Environmental Studies ​performed by a ​Canada Renowned Firm show that:

No historical indigenous burial sites are located on this site
No endangered species of plants or animals are located on this site.
However the bird species called the Whippoorwill was found nesting along the Trans Canada Pipeline corridor . If necessary a program has been identified to safely move this bird habitat.

North of the 54th parallel in the northern extreme of a provincial park and accessible by air or boat, this lodge offers a remote Main Lodge Fishing Plan with abundant hunting and fishing resource. There are countless numbers of northern pike and walleye to be had in any one of the several lakes available to the guests.

Fishing:

The guests of this lodge will enjoy some of Manitoba's finest northern and walleye fishing on the breath-taking waters of this large body of water. The lodge offers a healthy balance of big trophy northern pike fishing along with non-stop action of walleye tugging on the line. Guests of the lodge can travel the lake littered by islands, creating hundreds of miles of fishable shorelines and structures. There are countless numbers of Northern and Walleye to be had in any one of the several lakes available to the guests. For those guests looking for even more adventure and wilderness experience, they can portage to any one of several surrounding lakes for a memorable day of fishing.

Hunting

Lodge offers five-day fly-in black bear hunt at the lodge facility. With no more than 6 hunters per week, they offer a full American plan service bear hunt, second to none. All baits are accessible by boat and are tree stand equipped for either rifle or bow hunters. The lodge can also facilitate those guests who prefer hunting from ground blinds. Constant activity is maintained by their monitored baiting schedule. Guides take the guests to their stand each day between 3 - 4 pm and co-ordinate pick up times based on sunset. While on this hunt guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic northern pike and walleye fishing the lakes have to offer and all the comforts of the lodge's full service facility.

Conservation:

This lodge is a conservation oriented operation that practices catch and release on all big fish and emphasizes the use of barbless hooks. The present owners are extremely proud of their resource and wish to ensure a quality fishing experience, both in the present and for future generations.
